Who is Ruya?

Bellydancing since 2003, Ruya got her start in San Antonio, Texas, where she performed at festivals, entertained at private events, and appeared as a soloist in restaurants, cafes, and hookah lounges, where her sweet and engaging style was well-received.

After moving to Killeen in 2007, Ruya took a break from the demands of performance to spend time with her new husband. In 2009, she put her toes back into the performance pond once again. Shortly thereafter she began teaching classes in the Killeen area.

Like most dancers, Ruya is a perpetual student who believes in continuing to learn and grow as a dancer. As such, she attends master classes, conventions, workshops, and lectures throughout the year to further her education in this beautiful dance form.
